ABSTRACT
Integration of
BHS and Jin Shin Jyutsu® with Children of Special Needs
The author having worked with children of
special needs over several years using Jin Shin Jyutsu seeks to integrate
Brennan Healing Science and Jin Shin Jyutsu. This study explores the changes
created in the energetic patterns of a group of physically and mentally
challenged children after the four-dimensional model of reality offered by
Brennan Healing Science (BHS) was applied. The study has enhanced the
hypotheses that energy healings bring subtle shifts in the HEF. GDV pro
technology has been used to test this hypothesis.
The focus of this paper is to establish the
deep effects of Brennan Healing Science and Jin Shin Jyutsu on the auric fields
of these children. The study illustrates the profound shifts that BHS work
brings in every level of our being through an intensive experiential healing
work involving four children with special needs.
Finally, the paper displays through aura
images and high sense perception how subtle changes are achieved through work
on the four dimensions of the HEF. BHS work does bring greater coherency to the
HEF. This project seeks to show healers, educators, parents and medical
professionals insight into the tangible benefits of healing work in general and
the powerful Brennan work in particular.

INTRODUCTION
Children with special health care
needs are those who have or are at risk of having chronic physical,
developmental, behavioral or emotional conditions and who also require health
and related services of a type for a period beyond that required by normal
children.
This definition includes children
with a broad range of conditions or chronic illnesses such as cerebral palsy,
developmental delay, ADHD, depression, asthma, sickle cell anemia or cystic
fibrosis as well as children who develop a significant medical problem that is
expected to last at least twelve months. The Report of the Special Education
Review Committee in its definition of pupils with special educational needs
included all “those whose disabilities and/or circumstances
prevent or hinder them from benefiting adequately from the education which is
normally provided for pupils of the same age, or for whom the education which
can generally be provided in the ordinary classroom is not sufficiently
challenging.” The Report described particular
categories of pupils with special educational needs, including pupils with
mental handicap, emotional and behavioral disorders, physical and sensory
disabilities, specific learning disabilities, specific speech and language
disorders, and autism.1
This experimental project
describes the effects of the energy healings on children with special needs
through hands on healings. My research with Aura images using Gas Discharge
Visualization (GDV), Energy Field Imaging devised by Dr
Konstantin Korotkov2 has helped to document the condition of
each case with pre and post healings. It also helped me to better understand
the benefits of the GDV tool for health assessment. A typical procedure
involves recording the child’s state of health prior to and after receiving 10
healing sessions. My passion is to verify the effects of healings through a
scientific measurement tool and discover exciting possibilities and renew hope
for challenged children, world- wide.
INSPIRATION
The inspiration for this study
came up during my work in a special needs children’s school with over 400
students at the “Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services” in the United Arab
Emirates. The work involves the gentle art of ‘Jin Shin Jyutsu’ being applied
twice weekly for two hours, largely on children with Cerebral Palsy. The work,
over a three year period brought visible improvement in the children at the
emotional and mental levels. I noticed that energy balancing with Jin Shin
Jyutsu provided slow but steady results with severe disabilities. Children were
seen to calm down and rest peacefully after each session. Some were promoted to
higher classes, becoming more focused and creative. However, in this study I
decided to integrate BHS and Jin Shin Jyutsu with the aim of bringing more
coherence in the energy fields of the children.

BRIEF METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY
Four children were selected for
the study, all boys between the ages of six and sixteen. The first criterion
for selection was to include a representation of four different special needs.
The next point was to ensure that selected children were physically able to
place the fingers of both hands on to the sensors of the GDV Pro

Difficulty and developmental delay (6 years)
Firstly aura images of each child
were taken with the GDV Pro camera before the healings. Secondly 10 healing
sessions with each child lasting about 20 to 35 minutes per session were
carried out over a period of 6 months. Thirdly aura images of each child were
taken again with the GDV Pro. Finally, using these two sets of aura images and
my perceptions as a healer this study compares the difference in the energy
field, their implications and tangible benefits.
DESCRIPTION OF CHILDREN PRIOR TO RECEIVING HEALING SESSIONS
Case 1 – A, Cerebral
Palsy, DOB 21st July, 1994. He is wheelchair bound,
speaks just a few words, physically over-weight and refuses to co-operate in physiotherapy.
He has problems with head extensor muscles and weakness in the whole frontal
neck and abdominal muscles, with tightness in the hamstring and the calf
muscles. He understands a few words and rolls his tongue towards the roof of
the mouth. A very friendly and happy child, he enjoys healing sessions.
Pendulum readings suggest the 5th, 6th front
and back and 2nd, 3rd in the back
and the 7th energy centers spin horizontally,
indicating the holding of energy flow and strong energetic block; other energy
centers are open and harmonious.
GDV pro images show
that A’s 6th energy center is weak. Other than that
other energy centers are functioning well. Head zone, Uro genital area left
side and heart zone is depleted.
Case 2 – M, Down’s
Syndrome, and DOB 1st January, 1996. On a physical level, he
is hyper active, speaks very little. He frequently suffers from colds, with
thick mucous and there are red colored rashes on the face. His lumbar area was
pushed back. Some thick nail- like substance was perceived on the left side of
the brain. The pendulum energy centers readings suggest all the centers are
spinning horizontally holding down the energy flow and feelings.
GDV pro images show
that his heart center was open. 2nd and 6th energy
centers were exactly on the ideal range whilst the 3rd energy
center seemed very low in the graph. 1st and 5th and
7th
also somewhat low. Head zone, heart area and left
side of the body seemed depleted.
Case 3 –N, Autism,
DOB 9th
September, 1989. Speaks
very little, very sensitive and quiet. Unable to sleep well, his upper back is
pushed outwards. This affects the vertical power current and the Hara line. His
rib cage is sunken affecting the mental body. His pulse was fast in ear and
lung indicating both the organs’ energies are over burdened. In level 1 of his
field the lines of light are torn around rib cage and the rib cage is pulled
inwards. His fourth level is beautiful and clear. From the pendulum readings of
energy centers – All the energy centers front and back are spinning
horizontally, holding energy flow and feelings down.

most of the energy centers are below the ideal range. Head zone energy is low.
Case 4 – Z Speech
Difficulties, DOB -19th November, 1999. He is over
weight. His parents support his therapy by giving him regular Jin Shin Jyutsu
sessions. According to pendulum readings front 2, 3, 4 and 5B, 6 are open and
harmonious. 1 and 2 in the back, 5 in the front are spinning horizontally
holding energy flow and feelings down. The 7th energy center
is vertically moving feelings and energy toward the spiritual to avoid personal
interaction.

energy centers are weak. Head zone, heart area,
colon area and blood circulation area are depleted.
DESCRIPTION OF HEALING MODALITIES AND TOOLS USED
Jin Shin Jyutsu® -
Physio-philosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body.
Born of innate wisdom and passed down from generation to generation by word of
mouth, the Art had fallen into relative obscurity when it was dramatically
revived in the early 1900's by Master Jiro Murai in Japan and later it was
gifted to Mary Burmeister who brought this art to the United States in 1950’s.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese healing art based on using palms and
hands to stimulate and balance the flow of electromagnetic energy in the body.
It is an art of releasing tensions which are the causes for various symptoms in
the body. Our bodies contain several energy pathways that feed life into all of
our cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, this may lead to
discomfort or even pain. This blockage or stagnation will not only disrupt the
local area but will continue and eventually disharmonize paths of the energy
flow. Jin Shin Jyutsu uses 26 “safety energy locks” along the energy pathways
that feed life into our bodies. When one or more of the paths becomes blocked,
the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and can lead to critical
problems. Holding these energy locks in combination can bring balance to mind,
body and spirit.3
BHS - Brennan
Healing Science is a highly specialized, complementary healthcare modality. It
consists of an assessment of the client’s energy consciousness system and
specific hands on techniques that affect the energy–consciousness system. These
techniques can clear, strengthen, balance, repair or structure the energy
consciousness system. Restructuring involves rebuilding the specific pattern of
the field in the area that’s been injured or diseased. BHS can be utilized as
part of an integrated plan of care for individuals with acute or chronic
disease or injuries as well as psychological trauma/disease.4
GDV Pro - captures
the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy emanating to and from an
individual. Electro photonic GDV images contain comprehensive information about
human state at the moment of recording, and can be used to monitor human
response to treatments. The GDV technique enables us to explore and quantify
the response of any person to any treatment.

MOTIVATION OF COMBINING TWO HEALING MODALITIES
I felt that both modalities could
be combined and therefore complement each other as both the systems work on the
Human energy field. In BHS we have four dimensions, Physical, Auric, Haric and
Core Star levels. In Jin Shin Jyutsu we have 6 depths, 12 organ functions and
26 safety energy locks to work with. In BHS, at the auric level, we work on 1st,
3rd,
5th
levels of the energy field for restructuring the
field and 2nd and 4th levels to
remove the clouds and mucous from the emotional and astral level. Besides, BHS
provides over 50 healing skills to work with the individual needs of the
client.
Jin Shin Jyutsu has specific
organ and safety energy lock flows for mental, emotional issues, for vitality,
for critical needs, for reproductive and regenerative needs. The simple
philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu is that when the life energy moves through us
without obstruction, we are in perfect health. Obstructions are created by 5
attitudes – worry, fear, anger, sadness and pretense. This feels similar to the
five fears, fear of annihilation, fear of not being enough, fear of control, fear
of invasion and fear of imperfections and five characteristic wounding i.e.
Schizoid, Oral, Psychopathic, Masochistic and Rigid.5 In
BHS we restructure the broken lines of light. In the same way we work with Jin
Shin Jyutsu, by placing our hands on two specific places bringing the pulses
into balance.
While working with the children I
have personally experienced that using Jin Shin Jyutsu in conjunction with
holding the BHS states of being has been very supportive and healing.
Especially while placing the hands on two specific points of Jin shin Jyutsu
and holding the first and 5th level of the fields and while
doing the 5th level Psychic surgery, surrendering to
Divine will – works amazingly. Then again, upwelling and holding my Core Star
and from that place, working on the children has had excellent results and
instilled trust in the children. Cellular awareness in BHS is very much like
balancing the pulse in Jin Shin Jyutsu. Pulse is the Divine vibration of life
that can be found in our bodies as well as in the cosmos. Every thing is
pulsation. Similarly, cellular awareness is a doorway to accessing the life
force that exists in all of us. When we tap into this level of conscious
awareness, we enter into the process of evolution on both the personal and
universal levels.6
In Yoga we call this NAD and,
through special practices, we learn to detect sound, inaccessible to ordinary
hearing and feeling. When I sit with the children I quiet the doing mind to be
the observing mind, then connect deeply to the inner pulse and, from there,
deep healing happens.
Definition of States of Being –
States of Being is a BHS skill where we can simultaneously hold 2 or 3 levels
of our energy–consciousness system to create states of Divine Love, Divine Will
and Divine Truth.7

WORKING WITH JIN SHIN JYUTSU
To start with, in Jin Shin
Jyutsu, we read the body and pulse readings. Through these readings we know
where the client’s energy is stagnated, weakened or over-burdened. There are
specific flows for Cerebral palsy, autism, Down’s syndrome, speech and learning
difficulties. Life energy moves through the body in distinct pathways known as
flows. When the life energy moves through us without any obstruction – we are
in perfect harmony. Blockage of life energy is the root cause of all critical
labels. Freeing up the stagnant energy can help any chronic complaints.
During sessions, and to support
the participation of parents in their children’s healing, I give notes on
specific areas on the body to work with at home. When parents worked with
hands-on-healing on a regular basis – there was significant difference with
skin rashes and cold attacks. As explained earlier, there are 26 distinct sites
– called safety energy locks - on the right and left side of the body. They act
as circuit breakers to protect the body
when the flow of life energy is blocked. Once a safety energy lock shuts down,
it manifests a symptom in the corresponding part of the body. When we have
extreme emotions of worry, sadness, grief, anger, fear, or try to be perfect –
holding the thumb, ring finger, middle finger, index finger and the little
finger balances our emotions Each finger and thumb simply unlock keys to
harmonize attitudes. Secondly, there are specific locations on the physical
body which, when held, helps speech, increases immunity (does the work of
antibiotics), deals with skin rashes and so on. We use our two hands to (jumper
cable) energize our body. According to the oriental medicine and Yoga
scriptures, all of the key points of the human body can be accessed from the
fingers and palm. Holding the fingers help unclog micro energy pathways and
improve blood circulation to help strengthen the immune system, allowing the
body to better fight illness. There are simple flows, also known as ‘self help’
flows, which can be applied by anyone, or our loved ones. For example, there is
Main Central Flow – which is the source of energy for body’s functions.8

Brain Balancing – This is a BHS
skill where I can balance and synchronize the right and left hemisphere of the
client’s brain.9 Most of the aura images demonstrate that
the brain areas of these children were depleted of energy. Since the Limbic
system is the place where emotions, learning and memory happens – brain
balancing can greatly support children with special needs.
DESCRIPTION OF CHILDREN DURING HEALING
SESSIONS
Case 1 – A I
always start the session with a few minutes’ Chelation and then move to the
skills which I was guided to. Since cerebral palsy is connected with Heart
function energy I used to give Heart Flow. A is very sensitive to energy work.
His body heats up very fast and he asked me take off my hands. Clearing
happened on the right side of the abdomen after the brain balancing and the
structuring of lines of light. His tongue is fully opened, no longer rolling
backwards. During the sessions with children I have observed their toleration
levels are from 20 to 30 minutes. He can tolerate it for 30 minutes. His right
side of the body is imbalanced and the right knee and neck area seemed to be
receiving lots of energy from the healings. He loves to be touched clearly
showing that his character is related to the 1st depth
as per Jin Shin Jyutsu - and there is some disharmony with stomach and spleen.
His parents confirmed this by saying that he prefers only chicken and rice.
These healings seem to have reduced some of his weight. I used to work the
child’s stomach function to reduce weight. I worked with his cords connection
on 1st,
5th
and 6th. I have perceived right hip is
connected with speech. His soul’s task is Divine surrender and trust. He loves
these sessions and when ever he sees me, he asks me to hold his hands and says
‘AVVA’ which means ‘It hurts’, thus urging me to hold that place.
Case 2 – M In
Jin Shin Jyutsu skin rashes comes from the 1st (stomach and
spleen) and 2nd (lung and large intestine) depth. M has
red colored rashes and was prone to colds with thick and greenish mucous. He
can tolerate up to 20 minutes in a session. Right side of the lower abdomen was
very tight. Worked on him to clear up the mucous and to structure the energy
centers and levels of the field. The child prefers to have sessions sitting
down, feeling restless when lying down. It took some time to develop contact
with him. I taught his mother to hold some specific points behind the knees to
get relief from the skin rashes. By the fifth session his face became very
clear and the red rashes were reduced by up to 90%; the lungs also cleared up –
becoming calmer and relaxed. Once the healings stopped the rashes were back and
lungs came back to the initial blocked state.
Case 3 – N In
both Case N (and Case 4 Z) parents are well educated and this reflects in their
patience with their children. They monitor the child’s wellbeing and moods and
nurture them in a gentle way. N’s mother is a dentist and she is very
interested in learning some self help tools and using it for her son on a regular
basis. He is a very quiet child and, most of the time happy to lie down and
receive the sessions. I had great contact with this child, good bonding and
mutual unconditional love. His eyes exuded a divine spark. He loved to place
his hands on my head during healings and, during my first meeting with him for
aura images, he kissed me. He enjoys the first 35 minutes of the healing,
laughing merrily half way through, full of joy. I felt tension on his hip area.
I usually start with Chelation and then move on to either Jin Shin Jyutsu or a
BHS skill. The child sang too during the healing but towards the end, quieted
down and I sensed some anger in the 4th level.
After the child had had a few
sessions, his mother said he was communicating with her more actively and was
sleeping better too. A great deal of energy went towards the hip area during
healings. In some sessions I worked on his hip, spine and kidney areas and
heard his digestion had improved. He has since become creative, writing his own
songs and singing them aloud and also smiles a lot. Felt top of brain towards
the right was weaker, so worked on that and the brain stem area. There was
golden color energy around that area radiating divinity, enhanced by his
constant smiles. The child loved holding my hands and, during 7th level
uplift, literally seemed uplifted, displaying great joy. During the 9th session
he appeared very angry which miraculously transformed into a joyful peace.
Case 4 – Z Initially
he was very shy unwilling to let go of his father’s hand. During the first
healing I perceived stagnation in the 3rd energy center
and the lower abdomen and mucous on 2nd & 4th levels.
There were lots of cord attachments from (do I need to describe these terms
also or just give them ref Light emerging) the father. He kept talking and was
restless. Started with Chelation and brain balancing and cleared the mucous on
the 2nd
and 4th levels of the fields. In the
second session, I suggested to the father to sit further away while I held my
core star and, with harmonic induction, connected to Z’s core essence. The
child was quite fascinated by the work of clearing his field, and soon started
imitating me, clearing up his body with his little hands. I felt lots of
unconditional love flowing. In the third session I felt a deep bonding with
him. He started trusting me more. I worked on what I perceived as his and his
father’s tangled 2nd chakra cords.
From his father’s side there was
a connection with self love and acceptance and from that place accepting Z as
he is in his essence. Around the fourth session I noticed his bed wetting
problem, not present earlier. Earlier Z’s parents had been working regularly on
the child with Jin Shin Jyutsu however there had been a break when his father
went through a busy period. I could feel Z’s fears most prominently and worked
on his limbic system, doing some structural work on the kidney and urethra.
After the fifth session there were after effects – he had nose bleeding on two
occasions and then vomited just water. He appeared irritated and refused food.
Since his father is also a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner –
I discussed with him from the
awareness of Jin Shin Jyutsu, that when the blood stagnates in muscles along
spine, it results in nose bleed. I worked on his spine and lungs area. Between
the sixth and seventh sessions his bed wetting decreased in frequency. After
the last session he had fever and felt weak. However, his bed wetting has been
reduced.
RESULT – DESCRIPTION OF CHILDREN AFTER
HEALING SESSIONS
Case 1 – A has
lost some weight. He is very happy with the sessions. He tries to move to some
extent. He is receiving regular physiotherapy and his neck is more flexible.
There was considerable shift in the size of energy centers and except the 5A
and 4B all the energy centers are able to receive harmonious energy from the
Universal energy field. He is able to move and get up and sit on his wheel
chair – which he was not able to do.
GDV pro images of
AR show relevant differences. The biofield of AR is bigger- corresponding with
a growth of "psychic stability". Abdul's chakras demonstrated
considerable changes - total shift to emotional space. Right side of his body
shows more transformation in the post healing image.

Case 2 – M is
more willing to come for the sessions. His lung congestion is improving. His
immune system is much stronger. His skin is much clearer. He is helping the
other children in the class by pushing their wheel chairs and he is much more
relaxed and happy. He is looking forward to his sessions. When I stopped the
healings I have noticed that his skin rashes reappeared and the congestion in
his lungs got worsened. All his energy centers were taking harmonious energy
except 6A, 4B and 5B

time they are within the area of normal variations.

Case 3 – N with
autism, started singing on the healing table. His parents shared that before
the healings he used to be a recluse and now he is communicating his needs and
is more present in his physical body and surroundings. He is making salads at
home. They are planning to get him a job in a super market where he can be a
helper. After the ten sessions visible changes occurred in the energy centers.
His 1st,
2B, 3B, 5B, 6th, 7th front and back
are taking harmonious energy from the universe. Compared to the previous energy
centers readings this shows a great shift.

Case 4 – Z who
was feeling restless before – now lies down quietly and enjoys the sessions.
His father shared that he is trying to imitate his 2 year old brother by
repeating lots of words. His father and mother also worked with him on a
regular basis with Jin Shin Jyutsu. His fears are reduced. Bedwetting that had
started in between was reduced by the end of the 10 sessions. He won a merit
award for his social skills at his school. His speech is better. His ability to
mix with people improved. Except for the 1st, 5B, 3B
energy centers all the front and back energy centers are taking harmonious
energy from the universe.

CONCLUSION
Dr.Konstantin Korotkov was kind enough
to support me in my project. He was glad to allow me use of his software for
this project and enthusiastic about the project itself as there have been very
few projects involving GDV Pro with special needs children. He enthused, and
emphasized the importance for everyone to participate in such work. He
mentioned that he has little experience with children with special needs, but
did say that a minimum of eleven months is required to show even little shifts.
He agreed that any transformation in special needs children is significant and
these are indications of shift. It would be unfair to expect strong shifts in a
short time especially with these cases.
When I spoke to different
professionals who were using GDV pro – one of the scientists shared “GDV
system has got certain strengths and weaknesses. An unbiased evaluation is very
important. My study may be another step in that direction.” When
we take a recording of a subject say as baseline and then take another one
after doing a procedure/treatment on the subject say Jin Shin Jyutsu that makes
it much more acceptable scientifically. We have to allow for any changes
brought about by variation in environment like temperature, humidity and
atmospheric pressure etc., the GDV system is particularly sensitive to humidity
and temperature changes.
In dealing with such chronic
cases, the children need support on all levels. It has to be an ongoing process
and they deserve the best. Every child is special, and no label can define or
limit their potential for positive changes. Regular Hands on healings can be
one of the major steps in this direction. Besides regular hands-on healing,
they need regular physiotherapy and speech therapy also. When we work in unity
and as a team with complementary therapist, psychologists, nutritionist and
physio & speech therapist – they are supported both medically and
holistically. The importance of a support system, regular meetings with
parents, highlighting the benefits of healthy eating and interacting, besides simple
self-help techniques which instills self-responsibility. There are simple hand
gestures for brain balancing, for concentration and focus. I’ve enjoyed sharing
this with the older children and it is joyful and fulfilling for me to see them
holding these hand gestures when ever they see me in the school. There is lots
of connection between the food and the diseases. Due to time constraints of
this project I am unable to explain in detail the relationship between the
dis-ease and the craving for food from different depths of energy field, but it
is very important to educate parents on this which can bring tremendous shift
in children’s health.
